Pillar of Light

This is a Venetian column that could be found on St Mark Square, Venice. With this picture, I aim to attach a picture to the words "pillar of light". Since ancient times, people have always been looking up to the skies for reassurance. The light and warmth from the sun definitely reassures us, but I chose to be reassured in the shadow of the pillar, for fear of being blinded by direct sunlight.
