Broken Face

Taken on January 6th 2007, this was one of the exhibits of the National Anthropology Museum in Mexico City, where what remained was a fragment of some stained glass, depicting the sorrowful face of a little girl. This glass fragment also quintessentially captures the jagged history of Mexico, with the sad broken face representing a sad turbulent history of colonial suppression.

i don't think this face is sad. there seems to be a tinge of a smile around her/his lips and the expression ... looks to be neutral..
