Bird-feeding

The paths of pigeons and humans seldom cross. Yet, when they do, it is a spectacle to behold. This picture captured the joy of two little girls as they were mesmerized by the pigeons that flock to their hands. This was taken at Piazzetta dei Leoncini, near St Mark Square in Venice, on July 18th, 2006.
